Cookie Policy
Effective from 17 August 2026
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device so it can recognise you on your next visit. We also use a small amount of browser storage (localStorage) for the same purpose — it is not a cookie technically, but it does the same job, so it is covered by this policy the same way.
This page lists everything Fix4Ever actually loads, grouped by what it is for. Nothing on this list is decorative — if a category is not in use, it is marked as such rather than left off, because the honest answer is more useful than a shorter page.
Why do we use cookies?
Cookies help us provide, protect and run Fix4Ever, such as keeping you signed in and letting the map work during booking. Where a cookie is not required for the site to function, it only loads after you accept it in the preference panel above.
Strictly necessary — always on
Keep you signed in and your booking secure. Without these the site cannot function — you would not be able to log in, submit a service request, or complete a payment.
- Session token (httpOnly cookie / localStorage) — keeps you signed in across page visits. Session, or up to the token's expiry.
- Draft service request (localStorage) — saves an in-progress booking on your device so it survives a refresh. Expires after 7 days.
- Cashfree payment session — set by our payment processor while a payment is in progress.
Functionality — optional
Let a page remember a choice you made, and load the map used when you enter a pickup or drop address.
- Google Maps — loads the map and address autocomplete used during booking.
- Selected city — remembers the city you picked so you are not asked again on every page.
Analytics — not currently in use
Would tell us which pages and repair categories are actually used, so we can improve the site. Fix4Ever does not currently have an analytics provider wired in — this category exists in the preference panel for when one is added, and stays off regardless of your setting until then.
Advertising & social media — optional
Used to measure the performance of our ad campaigns and show you more relevant Fix4Ever ads on Facebook and Instagram.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measures ad conversions and builds ad audiences on Meta's platforms. Only loads once you accept this category — it does not run before that.
Where do we use cookies?
On fix4ever.com and the apps we operate
We place cookies when you use the Fix4Ever website or the Fix4Ever app across booking, tracking a repair, and account pages.
Through the third parties we use
For the categories you accept, the corresponding service reads and sets its own cookies once it loads. Their own policies explain what they do with that data:
How can you control your information?
Change your choice on this site
Use the button above, or the cookie banner shown on your first visit, to turn categories on or off at any time.
Browser cookie controls
You can also view and delete cookies directly through your browser. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will prevent you from logging in.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Is my login data shared with anyone?
No. Your authentication token is used solely to authenticate your requests to the Fix4Ever backend and is never shared with advertising or analytics third parties.
What law governs your cookie practices?
Fixforever Internet Private Limited is an Indian company. Our data practices are governed by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules, including the IT (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where applicable.
